Imagination Station Early Learning Centre is a privately-owned purpose built centre where families and staff work together to provide a friendly and encouraging atmosphere that promotes the happiness, wellbeing and development of the children entrusted to our care.
We provide a safe and enriching learning environment meeting social, cultural, emotional, creative, and physical needs.
We believe that children learn and develop best when they are nurtured and cared for by teachers who are responsive and who share with the child an understanding of the world.
We value the importance of children’s play in developing meaningful learning experiences. Our teachers are qualified and registered (ensuring high quality educational outcomes for all children) and teaching practice is reflective of current theories of learning and development that specialise.
At Imagination Station, we also highly value the ongoing and further learning of teachers, parents, and whanau. We believe that the sharing of knowledge, skills and practices is fundamental to achieving best learning outcomes for children.
Quality early childhood education for your child
Listening observing and providing a variety of opportunities encourages children to blossom and grow.
Children can engage in both self-initiated or teacher directed activities around current interest.
Some of the activities that the children may engage in over a day may include water play, construction, dramatic play, playdough, small or large group games, painting etc.
Children are encouraged to take an interest in music and we have a qualified dance teacher on our staff. Our play sessions are always constructive and have an element of learning build in, to help your child to know that learning can be fun and we have a set of projects where children can make their own gifts for special occasions.
Our centre likes to form strong bonds with our children and whanau and where possible use home languages to help children settle. We encourage parent whanau involvement and enjoy the richness that they bring to centre life.
Before your child starts we encourage you to do orientation visits so that you and your child can become familiar with the centre and staff before you leave them on their first day.
Staff will engage in conversations about your child’s needs before they start to ensure a smooth transition. When you child start attending on their own we encourage you to phone or email to see how their day is going.
Our purpose built centre is based on the Great North Road, Glen Eden with great parking for drop off and pickups.
